ABOUT ME

I am a creative, enthusiastic, communicative and analytical designer with an experience in designing responsive apps and websites across domains. My proficiency is in Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma. I strive to hone my skills working with professionally challenging projects.

Prior to my 2+ years of UX/UI experience, I dabbled in branding and illustration for a marketing agency, and experimented with digital artwork and animation. However, it wasn't until I discovered the joy of designing functional digital interfaces that I found my passion and decided to focus on it.

People who know me feel that I am adaptable and inquisitive as a person. I love dogs and I believe I am as cheerful and empathetic as them. When not designing, you can find me playing with colors or absorbing them. During a creative break, I may spend time wandering in some park, playing cards or leveling up in Fortnite.

MY JOURNEY AS A DESIGNER

As a high school student, my passion for drawing led me to selling handmade cards. While I kept drawing as a hobby, I pursued a Bachelor's in Business Administration. My degree taught me about effective communication, strategic problem solving, people management, customer behavior, and marketing. I also studied IT as an additional subject and learnt the basics of HTML and CSS. While coding didn't intrigue me much, I found the styling and functional outcomes satisfying. As the head of the college design team, I created various digital and print materials, such as emailers, ads, and brochures for college events. I immensely enjoyed using design softwares, so I decided to transition into a digital designer.

In 2019, I earned a Masters of Design from NIFT, India, where I learned about design thinking tools, research, and visualization. Interface design was also a significant part of my program. My first professional experience was as a graphic design intern at Ting, Mumbai, where I designed brand identities and created graphics for social media. My inclination towards UI Design grew stronger as I worked on web elements and layouts.

I gained 2 years of experience as a UX and UI Designer at Think Design Collaborative, working alongside skilled and experienced designers. I delivered user-centred digital solutions that addressed complex business objectives and overcame challenging user problems. My biggest takeaways, other than an exponential improvement in my designing capabilities, were enhancing my interpersonal skills and working in teams.
